As we celebrate the risen Christ this Easter I can’t help but remember the desert experiences of my life that brought me to the point of writing about all my Gethsemane sorrows. I can say that many good things have emerged for the journey and I can now celebrate the joy of Easter which reminds us the Jesus died on the cross to set us free from all fear, pain, sickness and despair.
Do not let His death go in vain for it was because of His love for us He endured the beating, insults and rejection. When the Lord sets us free, we are free indeed.
Like the story of the Butterfly in my book, we too remain in our cocoon and struggle to make our way out until we are ready for flight.
Sometimes struggles are exactly what we need in our life. If we were allowed to go through our life without obstacles, it would cripple us.
We would not be as strong as we could have been. We could never fly.
In the Healing Desert we learn how to endure, have hope , develop our strength and discover the love of our Divine Father who waits for us to return home, like the Prodigal son.
Rejoice, Jesus has risen from the tomb. Let us rise from the darkness of our fears and sorrows. Happy Easter
